Conference
Indiana advanced 11 wrestlers from four schools to the state finals to be held
next weekend in Indianapolis. The conference competed in semi-state action at
both New Castle and Evansville this past Saturday.
Perry
Meridian moved four wrestlers along to the finals including one champion. The
Falcons crowned Kirk Johnson at 140 lbs. at New Castle. Bloomington South also
pushed four individuals. The Panthers actually claimed two champions on the
day. Jacob Boomsma at 113 lbs. and Brannigan Barlow at 135 lbs. both won their
weight class at the Evansville Semi-State.
Bloomington
North advanced only one wrestler, but he was a champion. Shawn Miracle won the
130 lb. weight class at Evansville. Pike sent two wrestlers to the finals but
neither claimed a title this week.
