BLOOMINGTON – Kaila Hulls scored well over half of Class 4A 15th-ranked Bloomington South’s 45 points Feb. 16, leading the Panthers (19-4) with game highs of 27 points and 11 rebounds in a 45-32 Sectional 14 championship upset of sixth-ranked host Bloomington North (21-3).

South got revenge for a regular-season loss for the second night in a row in Tuesday’s multiple-snow-postponed game. The Panthers had beaten No. 16 Columbus North (14-7) in a semifinal, 47-42, while Bloomington North had advanced with a 52-51 squeaker over Columbus East (11-10).
It was the second straight sectional crown for Bloomington South, which will battle No. 3 Mooresville (24-1) Feb. 20 in the opening game of the Bedford North Lawrence Regional. The winner likely will face fourth-ranked Floyd Central in Saturday night’s final.
